Rental Terms

  1. Minimum age requirements: 22 y.o. and at least  one year of driving experience for direct bookings. Younger drivers should hold a driving license for at least one year and submit a request to the management for their car rental needs. They might be charged on a case by case basis with the extended  full insurance plan 2 though.
  2. No guarantee, no deposit is required.
  3. You can pay at pick-up or beforehand. Payment methods: Cash, Visa and Mastercard, banking transfer-deposit, on line payments and mobile-phone payment applications like Pay Pal, Stripe online and in person, Viva wallet, money-transfer with Wise, Western Union, Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay.
  4. Fuel policy is equal to equal.
  5. Lost keys: all keys are chip-coded, thus charges of 80€ are applied in the likely event of a key loss.
  6. No off-road use. To ensure this tirm of the insurance company, some vehicles may have installed gps which fires alarm when the vihicle enters restricted zones like Balos. The company reserves the right at such cases of inappropriate use of the car, either to claim its car back to the expense of the client or to charge the client in line with the rental service aggremment provisions.
  7. In case of violation of traffic code (e.g. red light) or in case of being found drunk, there is no insurance coverage and there is a high risk of penalties, fines and prosecution.
  8. After checking and receiving the vehicle and unless your insurance plan says otherwise, all car damages are subject to repair charges in line with the damage repair list that supplements your contract. Please refer below.

Required documents

  • Valid driver’s license for all declared drivers. National Driving Licenses issued in the E.U. or any other in Latins characters are accepted. The driving license must be issued at least one year before the pick-up date, otherwise the renter shall have to buy the full insurance plan 3.
  • International driver’s license if required (please read the below paragraph “Driver’s License”).
  • Passport or National ID for all declared drivers
  • All the booking details (online or phone booking) must be valid. Our company has the right to refuse the rental if the booking details are not valid and the management hasn’t been notified for a change. Likewise, in case the booking details are not correct, the management has the right to consider the situation at the time of the rental and to ask -on a case by case basis- for a Credit Card or Debit Card in the driver’s name as assurance or to keep in hand the amount of 300€ as a guarantee.

Bookings and Vehicle Group terms

All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific vehicle model. We plan to assign to each reservation the chosen vehicle model. However, if the chosen model becomes unavailable for ground reasons (e.g. unexpected maintenance or repairs), our company reserves the right to offer a similar model in the same group – category as the chosen model. Also, our company reserves the right to offer a model of a higher group – category (free upgrade).

Booking length, minimum rental charge

The minimum rental charge is one day even if you use the car for less than 24 hours. If you wish to rent a vehicle for more than 30 days, please contact us as the rental agreement must be renewed every 30 days.

If the renter wishes to keep the rental vehicle more from the agreed period, then the renter must contact us at least two days before the previously agreed vehicle return and request an extension. Based on availability, our company may or may not approve the extension. A rental extension will be valid only if the changes apply to the rental agreement.

Balance Amount

When you are making your booking, a deposit is not required. The remaining amount of your bill will be paid with cash or other payment option referred below, by the time you pick up your rental car or beforehand if it suits you.

Payment Options

All forms of payment are accepted. Specifically, we accept: Cash, Visa and Mastercard, banking transfer-deposit, on line payments and mobile-phone payment applications like Pay Pal, Stripe online and in person, Viva wallet, money-transfer with Wise, Western Union, Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay.

Confirmation and Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your reservation anytime, you have to send a cancellation notice email the soonest possible and receive from us a confirmation of your cancellation notice. Our company will contact with you one month prior to your arrival in order for you to confirm your travel itinerary and car rental. With your permission, we will track your flight in order for us to deliver your rental car on time. We will inform you about the optional insurance plans that we can provide you as well.

No-Show Policy

In no force-majeure cases and lacking any written schedule update and communication from you, the reservation may be automatically canceled when you fail to pick-up the vehicle within two hours of the agreed rental start date and time and a charge of 20€ will be required from you.

Requirements – General terms

The renter must check the condition of the car at the delivery time (tires, the interior and exterior condition). The renter is responsible and is obligated to compensate the company for damages resulting from lack of consideration, in line with the damage repair list below. Moreover, while parking, the renter has to park and to secure (lock) the vehicle in an appropriate parking place.

During the rental period, the vehicle must not be used:

  • In breach of the rental terms
  • To carry passengers or goods on a fee
  • To carry more passengers than allowed
  • To carry heavy objects, smelly goods, or drugs
  • To tow another car or trailer
  • In any kind of races
  • For any purpose that is against the Greek laws
  • Outside of Crete Island without a written authorization of our company.

Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.

Our company has the right to cancel the rental agreement if the renter violates the rental terms and the traffic laws, or acts against the company’s interests in general.

Ferrying the car

It is not allowed.

Baby, child & booster seats, beach chairs and sun umbrella upon request

We offer a set of two Beach chairs and a sun umbrella, free of charge.

We also offer free of charge three different types of seats:

  • Baby seat basket type: 0-1 y.o.
  • Baby seat classic: 1-3 y.o
  • Child seat – booster seat . 3 y.o.

The above gear is available upon request and provision is subject to availability.

Additional Drivers

Additional driver with no extra cost, can be only one. Otherwise, each extra driver is charged 15€/day.

Pets – Animals

Are not allowed in the vehicle without any prior agreement with the management of our company. Charges may be applied on a case-by-case basis.

Vehicle Cleaning Charge

The car is delivered cleaned and disinfected and must be returned clean in general, free of excessive dust, beach sand, seawater and sunscreen stains. Correspondingly, the exterior has to be clean enough so that it can be checked for damages, scratches and dents. Our company reserves the right to charge the renter with a cleaning fee (minimum cleaning charge is 70€) for cleaning the vehicle in the event of food stains or excessive dirt.

Late Returns

If the renter returns the vehicle later than one hour after the agreed return time without giving a notice to our company, the renter may be charged with a late return fee of 20€ for the first six hours, and exceeding this time period, with a full day charge.

Fuel Policy

The renter has to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered. The renter has to pay for the fuel that will use during the rental period. If the renter returns the vehicle with less fuel level than was delivered, the renter will be charged the fuel difference plus a refueling service fee of 5 Euros. There is no refund if the renter returns the vehicle with more fuel level than was delivered.

Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions

The renter must pay traffic fines, or any administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law. The payment can be made at the local authority offices referred at the fine bill. For his/her convenience, the renter can pay the fines in cash at the management of our company.

During the rental and in case the police or other authority removes the registration plates or tows the car, the renter must notify immediately our company and subsequently he/she will compensate for any imposed fines.

If any fine owing to the renter, becomes required at our offices after the rental period, our company will contact with the renter for a settlement or otherwise will charge the renter’s credit card with the amount of the fine, plus imposed V.A.T. and applicable fees.

Extra insurance coverage

Insurance coverage is explained at a following section. Basic insurance is free of charge. However, the renter can enjoy hassle-free time and the safety of the full insurance plans 2 and 3, which are charged extra at the amount of 7 or 14 € / day and covers all repair costs, own damages and legal protection in case of an accident. The full insurance plans are optional and you can select them while booking or picking-up your car. For details, please refer to the insurance coverage section.

Our Emergency line is available 24/7. Call us and we will assist you in case of an accident. If your car needs towing and you are in Greece (within the areas mentioned in the Terms and Conditions), a partner will help you with the transfer.

Personal accident

Financial support for a driver’s bodily injuries in a car accident, in case they result directly in invalidity or loss of life.

Road assistance

Car breakdown support services are provided 24/7 in partnership. This road assistance support includes services such as towing, battery jump-start, flat tire change, towing to a gas station if you run out of gas.

Glass

Repair or replace broken glass in your car’s windscreen or windows, including damages to glass factory sunroofs.

Legal Protection

Legal support for claiming repair costs and bodily injury expenses in case of a no-blame or contentious car accident. Legal defence for all charges against you including traffic violations and driving licence bans.

Insurance Plan extension: Plan 2 Collission Damage Waiver (400 € excess liability amount) charged €7.00 per day- and Plan 3-Full Damage Waiver ( FDW ) with ZERO excess amount  (charged 14€ per rental day)

A complete protection against all risks. For Plan 2 deductible liability amount is 400 Euro, and for Plan 3 is ZERO, provided Greek traffic laws and car rental terms are followed.

Full Theft

Any resulting damages to the car body are also covered, with the exception of damages to soft top hoods. The cover also includes car stereo and GPS, child’s car seat, claims relating to the car’s cabin as a result of the break-in or damages incurred while the car was stolen.

Own Damages

Material damage to your car irrespective of liability, incurred by its collision, impact, swerving, overturning or running off the road in case of a road accident. Also damages during transport and in guarded areas.

What is not covered by any insurance (unless otherwise stated at the additional insurance plans)

  • Damages caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Damages caused by an unauthorized driver.
  • Damages in the interior of the vehicle
  • Damages that were caused for any reason due to the fact that the vehicle was illegally parked
  • Damages due to traffic law violation.
  • Damages due to inappropriate driving, negligence, or intentional mishandling.
  • Damages to the engine by filling with wrong fuel.
  • Damages caused because the vehicle was used off-road or in not paved roads.
  • Damages that were caused after the agreed return time.
  • Damage to the mirrors.
  • Damages or loss of tires, rims, hubcaps.
  • Damages to the underside of the vehicle.
  • Damages or loss of the antenna
  • Damages caused willfully or recklessly by the renter, e.g. (burning out the clutch, burning out the tires, sitting or standing on the bonnet, or the roof or the boot lid of the vehicle, etc.)
  • If the renter at the time of the accident does not notify our company or the police
  • Loss of personal items
  • Loss, damage, or theft of vehicle keys
  • Loss or damage of child seats, jack, safety triangle, spare wheel, petrol cap, or any accessories.
  • Total or part theft, in cases where the theft was caused due to renter’s negligence. (e.g., forgot the engine keys on the vehicle, etc.)
  • Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law.

The company reserves the right to charge the customer for any damage, wear or loss resulting from the above exclusions or from the inappropriate use of the car.
